Employers and Participants,

On behalf of our department and our students, we thank those of you who participated in our recruiting event last Friday (April 28, 2017).  We felt fantastic about what was accomplished, it was well attended, and we're definitely going to do it again next year.  Students across the board seemed very excited about the future career trajectories that were presented. This recruiting event was very different than others you may have attended in the past.  Many of you expressed surprise at how many already had most of the skills on your list.  The word "targeted" was brought up several times, and I hope that those of you who attended recognized the high caliber of the manufacturing minded students who were in attendance. A lot of questions were answered from on both the academic and employment sides for our students as well.

We counted just over 150 total people in attendance including representatives from BATC, USU, Weber State, DWS, and the following companies:

Procter & Gamble
West Liberty Foods
APG
Hill Air Force Base
Nexeo
Walmart Logistics
TTM
Post
Setpoint
Pepperidge Farm
JBS
West Point Dairy

There were just over 100 students at the event, all working on industrial automation or electronics certificates.

Thanks again,
MATT FULLER - Instructor
Industrial Robotics, Microcontrollers, & AM STEM Coordinator
