Description

Do you realize how much of your everyday life is influenced by welding? The joining of metals by a welding process application lets us enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle. From taking a hot shower, to keeping food refrigerated, to driving a car or truck down the highway, all require the skill and knowledge of a trained welder.

This program emphasizes hands-on, individualized instruction. Learn fundamentals in stick, wire, and tig welding; blueprint reading; welding processes and applications; and inspection. Certified weld inspectors are available to supervise and certify student work. Students will be prepared to enter the workforce immediately. Stop by and see the welding facility!

Outcome statistics are compiled annually based upon Training Outcome surveys conducted with students post-graduation. Data is gathered through coordination with the student, faculty, Student Services Office personnel, and licensing agencies.

Employment Outlook

Prepare for employment as tackers, welding operators, industrial and farm maintenance welders, all position structural welders, pipe welders, aluminum and stainless TIG welders, welding foremen, welding supervisors, welding consultants, and welding inspectors. With some experience, students can expect excellent wages.
