“I went to school originally because I am a single mom and I wanted to make sure I had more to offer my daughter than a [basic entry-level] job,” Cayle says with a smile. “I wanted to work hard and go to school and make a better life for myself and for her.” And she’s doing just that. Cayle plans to have her externship completed in September and be done with the entire program by October, a mere nine months from start to finish.
Medical Assistants can find jobs in any office where there is a doctor present; family medical offices, OB-GYN offices, and chiropractor’s offices are just a few of the many career opportunities for MA’s. With Cayle’s hard work ethic, self-motivation, and positive attitude, the MA Program will open boundless opportunities. “It’s hard to do something with your life,” she says. “You can’t just take the easy way out. If you want something better then you have to work really hard. Hard work pays off."
When asked what going through the MA program has taught her, Cayle said the following: “I know that I can get through difficult situation; I have to keep pushing forward. I also need to expect more from myself. I am capable of doing whatever I want to do with my life. The program has taught me how I can contribute and show my personality.”
Congratulations, Cayle. You’ve definitely earned the award of BATC’s Student of the Month!
