On July 13, the BATC Machining Technology Program was awarded a $15,000 grant by
The Gene Haas Foundation. BATC will use this grant to provide scholarship funds to several deserving machining tech students.

The Gene Haas Foundation was established by Gene Haas, owner of Hass Automation, Inc., in effort to provide scholarship funds to post-secondary programs that teach CNC Machine Technology, Adult CNC training or Engineering while incorporating CNC training in the curriculum, such as the Machining program here at BATC.

Earlier this summer, two students in the Auto Collision program, Bransen McCall and Tanner Passey, were awarded the ABRA Auto Body & Glass Tool Grant from the Collision Repair Education Foundation™. This grant provided Bransen and Tanner the funding needed to purchase tools in order to continue and enhance their education in collision repair.

On behalf of these two programs and all of the students involved, BATC would like to extend a huge “thank you” to these foundations.
