The Utah College of Applied Technology announced today the selection of K. Chad Campbell as campus president of the Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC).
Campbell is currently the Vice President of Finance at Bridgerland ATC, a position he has held since 1985. He also serves as BATC’s chief instructional officer, and is responsible for overseeing daily campus operations. He resides in North Logan and is an active member of the community.
President Campbell has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from Utah State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
“President Campbell has a rich history with BATC and the UCAT system,” said UCAT President Rob Brems. “He brings with him 30 years of experience in technical education. He has a proven track record of success and will continue BATC on a path of growth and achievement.”
“I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead serving as president of this great college,” said Campbell. “With the amazing team of employees at BATC and their commitment to changing students’ lives, great things will continue to occur."
Campbell was selected by President Brems from several highly-qualified candidates after an extensive screening process involving the UCAT Board of Trustees, the UCAT President’s Office, and the BATC campus board of directors, which includes local business, industry, and education representatives. Campbell’s appointment by Brems was approved in a special meeting today of the UCAT Board of Trustees.
“Chad will be an excellent campus president and has my full support as he moves into this new role,” said BATC Board Chair Mike Madsen. “BATC is moving into a new and exciting chapter and I look forward to working with President Campbell as he leads the institution.”
Campbell will begin his new appointment on July 1. He replaces President Richard L. Maughan, who announced his retirement as campus president earlier this year after serving 40 years at BATC.
