Seeking for a few good staff members who are looking for a flexible position during weekdays to assist women who live at a House of Hope facility to get to their medical appointments, court dates and other community resources. This individual is responsible for transporting women individually or in small groups to various appointments and help get their needs met at various community programs in the community. Other responsibilities include completing program errands, keeping records, using basic computer programs, and completing other special projects as needed to assist the program. This staff has the privilege of working face-to-face with women who are new in recovery and actually gets to know the challenges of our mothers as they try to improve their lives for themselves and their children. This is a great opportunity for those seeking experience working with women, families, and non-profit organizations in the human services sector. On-going training and supervision provided. Employees in good standing have the possibility to receive $0.50 per hour raise every six months for the first 18 months of employment. Candidates must be confident and good at making others feel heard, respected and open to feedback; willing to drive own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) or agency vans; have a current Utah driver’s license and a good driving record; have excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities; able to be respectfully assertive as needed; be able to climb stairs and lift 40 to50 pounds on occasion, if needed; be reliable with assigned hours; and have a strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries. This is a non-smoking facility. Must be at least twenty-one years old and able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screen. If in recovery, must have at least three years of clean time. Must have own reliable transportation and good driving record.
