Description:

The Mechanical Drafter will be responsible for creating, reviewing, revising and altering three dimensional models and two dimensional manufacturing/production drawings for our LED, electronic display cabinets and support structure in conformance with company and drafting standards. Experience in sheet metal modeling or fabrication would be preferred. Responsibilities: • Produce drawings from concept, individual part creation, complicated multiple part assemblies of components and overall project proposals. • Create drawings and documentation for the entire project including individual parts as required for customer approval and shop fabrication and assembly in an accurate, detailed and complete manner from engineering sketches, such as block drawings, diagrams, and panel layouts. • Provide design assistance and facilitate product improvement and the design of new and innovative products.

Required Skills: • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Structural Design or equivalent Technical Degree preferred • 2-3 years previous experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Attention to detail • Basic math skills including algebra, geometry, parametric modeling and spreadsheet manipulation • Ability to read architectural and structural blueprints • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to read blueprints is desirable • Experience with Bills of Materials, part lists and other record keeping methods will be useful • Ability to work with project managers, salesmen and fabricators Prismview is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
